The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the purchase and sending of Bulgarian books to Bulgarian schools abroad. We partner with the team of 'Bulgarian History', from which we buy the books. In this way, we support these inspiring young people in their mission to remember our glorious past.
The first edition of the project took place in 2017. We challenged the participants to show their knowledge in different areas. With the assistance of the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Chicago - Ivan Anchev, we were able to donate textbooks and portraits of famous Bulgarians in the schools 'Patriotism' (Cincinnati) and 'St. St. Cyril and Methodius ”(Columbus).
The second edition of the project in 2018 was in partnership with Rotaract club Canary Wharf, London and with the support of Rotary Club Sofia-International. Together we made a large donation of materials related to Bulgarian history, mathematics, children's books and others to the Bulgarian Sunday school in London 'Bukvaran'.
Our partner and host of the 2019 edition was the Student Council at Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski ”. Rotaract members, students, and many guests gathered to compete in several different rounds. Thanks to the support of our friends from Bulgarian History, Geographer BG and Rotary Club Sofia-International, we sent books to three Bulgarian schools abroad: 'Vasil Levski', Paris, 'Cyril and Methodius', Paris and Lviv Sunday School to the Bulgarian Ivan Vazov Cultural Society.
Thanks to the publishing house 'Sunray' at the end of 2019 we managed to make a donation to the National Chitalishte 'Svetlina' in the town of Yakoruda, Blagoevgrad region!
