Rotaract Club Sofia was founded on January 14, 1995 and thus became the first Rotaract club in Bulgaria. The sponsor club that initiated the establishment of Rotaract in Bulgaria is Rotary Club Sofia.
The members of Rotaract Club Sofia are proud to lead by example. Although all the founding members are already among the many alumni, the club continues to follow the traditions established by the founders. Rotaract Club Sofia has gained tons of experience and many friendships over the years, both within the country and with clubs from all over the world. Over the years, club members have held positions such as District Rotaract Representative for Bulgaria, Representative in Rotaract Europe and have been part of the 'Rotaract Commission' to the President of Rotary International. Today our club has 19 members and several candidate members. They are specialists and leaders in various educational and professional fields.
During the meetings of the club we discuss various initiatives, share interesting experiences and, in a friendly atmosphere, organize projects for the benefit of society. In carrying out our activities, we cooperate with other Rotaract and Rotary clubs from and outside the country.
Among the things we do are:
- conducting lectures and discussions by specialists in various fields of social and professional life;
- informal gatherings, trips and visits for district and international events.
