The Rotaract Club Sofia charity tennis tournament is the club's oldest project. It was started back in 1994. It is held annually in early June. The aim is to promote sports activity and 'fair play'. The funds raised from the entrance to the event contribute to a different cause.
Traditionally, the competition is in two separate, parallel competitions - women's singles and men's singles. In recent years, a group lesson with a tennis coach has been organized. The event is for amateurs and is open to Rotaract, Rotary and Interact members as well as outside guests.
On June 1, 2019, the 25th edition of the tournament took place. Apart from playing on the court, the participants also had the opportunity to take part in a badminton tournament, which added even more color to our annual project. Partner and host were our friends from Tech-Sport - Sofia Tech Park.
The cause of the last edition was to raise funds for the construction of a specialized playground at the school for visually impaired children 'Louis Braille', Sofia.
